Like wasps to a jam jar, of course we were going to check-out this recent Weavers opener. Small, over two levels/rooms and a traditional pub feel compared to their other outlets which are more clinical. Busy, with a lively and friendly clientele. My Holdens Bitter was in good nick (NBSS 3.5). There are so many good ale pubs in Bewdley, it’s easy to be complacent. This is a must-do already.

Interesting history - why do Weavers think they can make a go of this place, when looking at the reviews, it lasted less than a year in its previous guise as a Micropub. I never got around to visiting, which is probably down to its location. A short distance from the main street but kind of hidden from view around the bend. You've got to know its there, and want to go.
We visited on a Wednesday - where opening hours are 2pm - moving to midday from a Thursday for the weekend. The only punters in a few weeks before XMAS.
I have visited all the Weavers in the chain (Kiddy, Malvern, Worcester, Stourbridge) and like them - this follows the same MO - a handful of cask (mainly from Fownd brewery) and plenty of keg craft - Deya SRM and Attic.
A bar on the left had side - and wooden seat seating across two rooms.
I hope this is a success for them and long may their expansion continue.

Now back open. The bar has been moved to the left hand side and it is a better layout for it. It used to be at the back up a large step. Now 6 ales on. 3 from Fownd ( Gold, Elephant Riders and King Korvak Stout) as you would expect plus Holdens Bitter, Oakham Citra and Butty Bach. A few keg offerings including Fownd lager and Murphy's Irish Stout.
I tried 3 ales and all were good. I liked it before but I prefer it now! A definite improvement and well worth a visit.
