A new pub opened in June 2024 by Dancing Man Brewery, their second outlet in town. It's a spacious single single room but broken up by brickwork for a centrally placed staircase that leads up to the toilets, effectively creating separate areas.The bar , to your left as you walk in, has four handpumps, all were serving Dancing man beers, on this occassion Congo Driftwood, Jack 'O' Diamonds,Old Fashioned and Stovepipe Stout, Twelve keg taps exclusively of their own beers with the exception of Perroni and an Iford Cider. Seating is mostly of a normal nature with a few high tables and notably a mustard coloured Chesterfield Sofa.Some dark wood inside gives a slight mock Victorian feel, decor includes some quirky artwork and taxidermy. There is an outside courtyard beer garden. Clientele was a usual looking Saturday crowd of mixed ages with a few bohemian types thrown in for good measure. A good addition to the immediate area as there are now five or six nearby venues, including a couple of micropubs offering good beer all within a five minute walk in total.
