Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Only With Love Lewes Brewcafe
Multipurpose community facility at the top end of Malling Rec with a small café / bar / open to all. Multicoloured modern furniture and picture windows inside, and some wooden benches out on the patio terrace. Something of a joint venture with the Only With Love brewery, and I found their Bongo (£5.50), Bantam and Banger available from three of the five craft keg taps on the side wall behind the counter.

Only With Love is a brew café for the Only With Love Brewery that is based not far away in Uckfield. It has the feel of a community centre and it overlooks a large children’s playground, which is handy for pisshead parents. There was a bit of interesting US funk playing in the background, but then a load of slow dross kicked in. There were four OWT lagers available alongside a guest. I went for their Winding which was OK, but expensive with the price of £8.50 for a pint and a small can of Kola. The food menu is aimed at the users of the park opposite with four bagel options alongside beans on toast, yoghurts, oats and crisps. The service was polite, but I didn’t see anything here that would entice me back.

Bit of a trek out of the town centre to the East Malling Community Centre that has a cafe / bar that is the outlet for local brewery Only With Love. There isn’t much else nearby so you are here because you really like their beers or, like me, you really like ticking off all the venues in an area. The venue itself is a bit bland but it does have a nice outside terrace overlooking the fields.
The beers on offer were their own Wingding Extra Pale Ale (my choice and most enjoyable), the Bongo Tropic IPA, the Banger Helles Lager, and the Juicy AF Mango. Guests were a sour from Pasture and Blending called Aviation, a cider from Ascension called Unless You Think plus their more commonly seen cider called Pilot, and a strong IPA from Pressure Drop called High Performance Machine.
Thought the beer range was warranting a modestly higher rating. However, the rather soulless location (and that’s not about it being out of the way) nudged it down a bit for me. There was no atmosphere for a nice Friday evening and I felt like I had stumbled on a youth club that just happened to have a bar.
