A large taproom in a small brewery on a rather decrepit-looking industrial estate. Inside, it's much more impressive than the exterior would leave you to believe. The bar is sizeable and in two main areas on the ground floor, plus a seating area upstairs. The concrete floor is still painted as it was for its previous factory incarnation. It was unheated, so a bit chilly for some people, but they provide blankets for people who haven't dressed adequately. There was a large TV showing live sports. The staff were really welcoming, and the clients were a mixed bunch, a mix of CAMRA types, locals and mature drinkers. Dogs and children are welcome, the former on the ground floor only. All their beers are available in cans or keg, while some are also available as cask. Two large fridges contained the canned beers in normal and multi-pint sizes. I had a pint of Square Logic from cask, which was an excellent pint in perfect condition and averagely priced. Food was on offer from a pizza van outside, and we were told that burger, taco and gyros vans also appear on occasion. They host open mic and comedy nights, and they screen the big matches, but otherwise opening hours are a bit restricted. Well worth a visit if you're passing and it happens to be open.
