Central Bay is a new food and drink hall located at the back of the Lowry with lots of outside seating that looks onto Old Trafford situated on the other side of the Quays. In this very large space is an island bar with premium and craft keg that was being run by a polite bunch of bar staff during my early midweek evening visit. There are lots of small food outlets with cuisine from all over the world. I had a Gyro from the Greek stand which was tasty, but quite small for £13.50 – You’d get a monster kebab for that price on any Manchester high street. There’s a couple of projectors that were showing very random things, many of them children’s programs. There is a small children’s play area tucked away in the corner, this place is open day and night so has to cater for all. I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit, but working locally I’m looking forward to making my way around all the stands over the coming months. It was also interesting to see a new Seven Bro7hers outlet being fitted out across the concourse.
