A back street micropub with four hand pumps, a back room and plans to add more seating upstairs. (Apologetic notices explain that neither that nor the second toilet are ready yet.) All the cask beers were 4.5%, which is bad planning in my opinion, and particularly so for me as I was driving and was approaching the limit. Also I have an aversion to beers with "juice" in the name, I'm not a fan of beers from Black Iris and I wasn't in the mood for a stout, which left me with Green Jack Trawler Boys which I'd had yesterday and is actually 4.6%! Halfway through drinking I thought I detected a slightly stale flavour, but it wasn't particularly oppressive (a perhaps generous and yet grudging NBSS 3, £4.80/pint). Watch out for the steep step down from the front door to the street. I took it very carefully.
