David Walton left this review about The Whiskey Tumbler

Visited 01/09/25. Visited previously 07/11/22.

No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Amstel, Camden Pale Ale and Murphy’s Stout.

Small, but longer rectangular venue with the front opened on my visited on what turned out to be a pleasant evening after a rainy afternoon. The venue is bare boarded with the bar counter on the right-hand wall a bit beyond the entrance with tall stool seating on its two accessible sides. They make the most of the space here with drinking ledges and tall narrow tables all with stools in the front and along the left-hand side. There is an area beyond the front with more ledges and tall table seating with a small courtyard out the back with some small metal tables but still packed away on my visit. As expected from the name there is a shed load of whiskies on the shelving behind the bar counter and a shed load of Irish memorabilia on the walls in both the front part and the library like rear part. No screens and a cracking music soundtrack. My previous visit was late night, and this enjoyable visit reminds me it is a decent little venue offering something a bit different to a lot of the often-packed venues around here.
