Strongers . left this review about The Courtyard
The Courtyard on Hastings Promenade is the sunken covered bench lined courtyard of Source Park, which is an underground BMX track in what used to be Victorian baths that had the accolade of being the largest underground swimming facility in the UK. The swimming ceased in 1980, but the doors reopened in 1981 when an ice rink was installed, but this closed in 1997 and the structure remained closed for 15 years during which time it was heavily vandalised. It was then refurbished by the council and reopened in 2015 when it became the BMX track venue, which is now internationally renowned. The Courtyard hosts four or five small food vendors alongside Brewing Brothers, which was the target of my visit. The interior of the bar is long and thin with a long serving counter across the rear wall, I think the left side of the counter is for food service, but there were no dry sales during my Friday afternoon visit. I counted 14 craft keg fonts, 11 of which were pouring the brewery’s own products. I went for a pint the MVP which is a 4.7% IPA that wasn’t that great, and was expensive at £6.80, in fact Hastings and St Leonards have become very expensive with down from London prices. Seating runs across the front bifold doors that open in the Summer and out the front are the previously mentioned tables where some inaudible background music was playing. The service was polite and this may be the place to be seen during holiday season, but I don’t think I’ll be visiting again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Courtyard
Brewing Brothers outlet in the subsurface yard, formerly the Victorian baths, now leading to the Source Park underground skateboarding / BMX circuit. This bar fills three of the side units, with covered seating both within and at canteen-style tables 'outside'. With 13 of the 14 taps on the bar-back in use, I found a dozen of their own craft beers - including the MVP (£6.80) - being served, along with a guest from Utopian. Another 12 taps on a subsidiary counter are also available for other things, if required.
