I thought my mate was taking the pee when he directed us to an austere former set of public bogs in a car park, but he wasnt. A small tap room with several craft beers - including one of their own - Grog, which was decent enough. Lively, friendly - even a guy dressed as a Norman (chain-mail, kite shield etc) - definitely worth a look.

A micropub! In a converted public toilet! In a car park! Actually, it's really rather good, homely with red and pine strip walls and hessian sack ceiling. A genuinely friendly welcome to someone who was clearly a stranger which helped me settle-in. Five wall-mounted taps (so I assume all keg) and I went for the Wye Valley Night Jar. Well-worth a stop unless you’re a cask fundamentalist. 7.5
