Really wanted to hate this; one of the last places I’ve never visited in town. But it was…OK, despite a troubled past according to the local newspaper website. Friendly woman behind the bar, clean and modern, lots of pools tables and even ping pong. Had a Hobgoblin IPA for £5. Various “premium” lagers available. Won’t appeal to some on this website, but I would go back. Just not when busy at the weekend.
