Unlisted on here until very recently, this is a welcome stop on the Wales Coast Path. Didn’t set my sights high on entering; the check-in was somewhat haphazard, as was the ordering and then the pulling of the pint, the girl looking like a lethargic tortoise slowly reaching out for one final lettuce leaf it doesn’t really feel hungry enough to eat. Gave me time to have a quick look round as it was outside-seating only otherwise; the interior is large, open-plan and chocolate brown with feminine touches for the foody brigade – so the lovely suntrap front garden really was a good option. Things got interesting when I sat down and had a gulp of my pint (Glam BrewCo Jemima’s Pitchfork, the only one on) – it was incredible, a rare NBSS 5, so good I necked it and got a second. I could well have struck incredibly lucky but you can only drink what’s put in front of you, and this was terrific. I made sure to compliment the Buster Bloodvessel lookalike landlord on his beer and he seemed very chuffed.
