I remember this was a shop but that was years ago. Now a micro pub with three rooms, the front one housing a corner counter in a nice light wood, the walls are panelled in pine, the floor in old wood boards. The piped music, albeit at low level negates its pure micropub credentials. Three pumps on the counter with beers from Flacks, - Double Drop and the house badged Anchor Ale which is Romsey Gold plus Otter Bright, keg tastes catered for with a Moretti solo and a quad T-Bar of less ordinary stuff. I was served by a fairly taciturn barman. Decent quality beer as it should be in a GBG listed pub although the windows aren’t sullied with a sticker to that effect. Old coach lamps, a couple of ships lamps, musical instruments and a few bits of assorted nautical stuff forms the decor. Seating on pews and Windsor type chairs at Britannia tables. The rear room is through an arch to the left of the counter, beyond a staircase leading to an upstairs room - Nelsons Cabin. Similar in style to the front but in exposed brick and old half timber, there is also a garden further on back where the gents and accessible toilet are.

This micropub was a former Pharmacy and the building is Grade II listed. The interior consisted of a good sized front room with timber panelled walls, original boarded floors. The bar area was finished in oak and had hosted three handpumps. There was a red brick archway and curved bar end along the right hand side, a very prominent feature as you entered the pub.
The rear of the pub had a snug with a log burning stove and a patio garden. Three beers on handpump, Flack Manor Double Drop, Anchor Ale and Exmoor Exmas. This micro was table service only with cash or card and the service was excellent.
