A micro which is a classic shop conversion, though done to a fairly decent standard with a bit of ephemera dotted around plus an impressive wolf mural en route to the traps. Like Strongers, we also encountered entrainment setting-up by the frosted window, a musical duo who spent so long fiddling about that the pub had pretty much emptied-out by the time they did start – and we also made an exit two minutes later! There’s a lesson in there for the musos. Can’t recall the selection at the bar but I do know I had a Titanic Black Ice though my Untappd check-in tells me precisely nothing about what I thought (for shame, Past Quinno). It was decent in here, though I was surprised by how quiet it was by the time we left. Perhaps the locals knew what was coming from the musical act. Another Kiddy pub worth checking-out. 7.5

There was a musical comedy duo set up on a raised area against the large frosted glass front window during a recent Thursday evening visit, they were actually very funny and had everyone singing along to their own songs. With carpet tiles throughout, there’s seating in the front and up the right-hand wall to sofas at the rear opposite the L-shaped serving counter that is found in the left rear corner. Premium keg was available alongside six hand pumps, it was busy so I could only read Salopian’s Golden Thread and Hop Twister as well as Wild Child’s Brownie Hunter. I ended up with a decent pint of GT while I watched the excellent live entertainment. This is a decent micro that’s well worth a visit.

Checking my old review - no sign of the on site brewery. Maybe I should have asked the landlord.

Entertainment goes from strength to strength - quiz on wednesday, comedy on thursday and live music across the weekend.

Beers always changing.
