Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Patch

Hybrid café and bar, with a compact serving area, a couple of fridges and a few windows seats as you enter, and a two-part dining room off to the left. No cask ale, and (shock, horror) no Harvey's of any description, but an interesting selection of nine craft keg beers - including Mad Squirrel's Rossa (£8.00) - and a cider from a row of bar-back taps.

Describing itself as a beer café (otherwise known as a café with beer) with cooked breakfast at £15 a pop and Restaurant Guru Best Café 2022 citation, there are 10 keg lines in a venue which is so small that I left; this place isn’t a patch on other places in town.

This is a craft beer venue, beers ranged from dark to light and there was also a very interesting sour. The pub opens early and does a very good breakfast which we enjoyed before the days crawl and proper builders tea. We also called in the night before the crawl as space is limited, the locals were friendly and my stout went down a treat along with the Soor Plooms. Well worth a visit.
