Old Boots left this review about Honest John
A cafe with a few standard keg beers in an impressive building - nothing to see move along.

Bucking Fastard left this review about Honest John
Former good looking Natwest branch,up some steps to the entrance with a front room with art to the right and the tap room to the rear, which does have more of a cafe/bar feel.Popular coffee venue in the morning, there were still two handpumps operating offering Bradfields Farmers Blonde and another low strength pale which wouldn't mark this place out as suitable for a lads session venue. However the barmaid at The Pub said that this is the place for cocktails in Tod so it could be lively with a younger crowd in the evening.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Honest John
The main feature in here was the large timber framed skylight in the main room, which also had a pitched timber border from the top of the wall plate. The mosaic floor at the entrance was also quite opulent, from the time when this was the local Nat West Bank. The walls were bare stone, which had been recently exposed. The bar/counter over on the right hand side was finished in grey painted timber. The front small lounge area was tastefully finished and a local artist was displaying their work. Three handpumps with two in use, serving Robinson's Unicorn and Brakspear Oxford Gold, both of which were in good condition. There was also a choice of five craft beers.
