Rather splendid conversion of a country house into an upmarket dining pub. Opened up a bit, but retains a variety of semi-separate dining rooms as well as the general seating lounge area by the bar in the main entrance room. Good selection of local real ales from of the seven handpumps - Butty Bach, Green Duck Session IPA, Lemon Dream from Salopian, Ludlow Blonde and Bewdley's Red Hill (£4.60) - with the Enville Ale coming back on soon by the look of things. Brunning & Price do this sort of thing very well, and this one is top of the range.

Really good conversion. Fantastic building with plenty of outdoor seating. The food looked good although I didn't eat. I saw three beers on - Wye Valley HPA, Timothy Taylor Boltmaker and Three Tuns XXX Pale ale. I went for the latter which was excellent. Well worth a visit. I think I'll eat here next time!

Bunning & Price are converting the historic Lawnswood manor house into a pub called The Roe Deer. It should be open in May.

Slight delay but has opened today!
