Real Ale Ray left this review about Ross Tap House
What a gem and definitely worth the bus journey from Hereford, which only took 40 mins. This micro was converted from a closed down TV shop, it's named the Tap House as it was a former Tap House for Alton Court Brewery, which inevitably ceased trading in the mid 1960's.
We called here on a Friday afternoon to see a good range of beers across seven handpumps, plus another pump for cider. The beer selection was Hopshed Brewery Pekin, Sadlers Perky Blinder, Sadlers American Rye, Goffs Tournament, Hillside Legless Cow, Electric Bear Inspector Remorse and Swan Brewery Winter Swanderland. We went for the Hopshed Perkin, which was sublime. They always have something from this brewery weekly. Along with the great tasting beer, I was also fortunate to spot a selection of excellent looking cobs on the bar, which are available from Friday to Sunday. The landlord and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. The locals are also friendly and chatty, and gave us sound advice on where and when to get the No.33 bus back to Hereford, and luckily for us the bus stop is opposite the pub.
