Following my review below I returned once or twice, but then the place was closed for a refurb and it wasn't until almost the end of the Super League season that I came back again. The first time I had a DDH IPA from North Brewing, a 6.2% cold and fizzy beer that I struggled to drink a half of in time to make it to the ground for kick off. Not a very sensible way to spend almost £4. The next week I was cycling past and almost fell off my bike when I caught sight of two hand pumps on the bar which certainly hadn't been there seven days before. I went in and had a little joke with the barman about cask being like vinyl, which he took in good part. I had a half of a beer called Sputnik from the same brewer, which came to a slightly less jaw-dropping £2.25. I'll be back next season.

I found Growlers much as described below, with the exception that only three beers were available at the time of my Saturday afternoon visit. I went for Wilde Child Hedonistic Experience 6.2%, which was relatively cheap at £2.10 a half; neither too cold or too fizzy, my criticism would be that it was too chocolatey. Nevertheless, this bar would be one to consider for next time I go to a Rhinos home game.

Small craft beer bar, nestled down in a row of shops, on Headingley’s main drag. Several well stocked fridges feature a wide range of bottles and cans, for on and off sales, plus, there are four keg lines on the bar. The Black Iris ‘ Divine Elements’ Mosaic IPA (pint £4.40) proved a good choice and slipped down rather too easily for a 6% beer. Just nicely busy when we called, with the friendly, welcoming barman and a discreet funk and rare groove soundtrack making for a laid back atmosphere, on our Thursday afternoon visit. Will almost certainly drop in again, when next in the area.
