Strongers . left this review about The Griffin
The Griffin was one of only two pubs open in Earlestown during a Tuesday evening visit, with the other being the Wetherspoons. It was much quieter in here with up to ten other customers who were all in the public bar on the two pool tables. The central U-shaped bar counter that comes out of the front wall faces this public bar area to the right where a dartboard and numerous television screens for showing live football can also be found. Along the rear wall is some banquette seating, where to the right is some DJ equipment. Old instruments, such as guitars and a saxophone, suggest that this is a regular music venue. As does the stage area in the left rear corner where some easily moved seating is a faced by a fireplace. In the front right is a small seating area with a second dartboard. Standard and premium keg was available. For a live music pub I thought this place was actually quite comfortable, but unfortunately Earlestown was unimpressive so I don’t plan on returning.
