A nice little Brew York takeover of a shop conversion with bare boards and simple furnishings in front of the counter at the back. There is overspill space upstairs which is also available for hire and the usual YuZu street food emanates from there too. The beers were I think all their own, with half a dozen handpumps and a good selection of keg taps. Good for drinking.

Brew York owned bar in the Market Place, thank god for somewhere decent in this dead and alive place. A big square room with a counter across the whole back wall, other than the fridge, this is home to nine pulls of Brew York beers and a duo of keg plus another nine keg taps on the back wall. The beer menu tells me five kegs including a cider and three casks are regulars, everything beery is on two laser display screens over the scaffolding bar back. No idea what’s upstairs cos I didn’t look, downstairs is minimal with white walls enlivened only by a mural, lighting is from bulkhead and Edison lamps. The tables (square on iron bases) have the Brew York logo carved or engraved into their surface. Oh there’s an old cask used as a table a la Ossett. Card only sales.
