This is a modern craft beer bar on the first floor of an interesting looking building, down one of town centre's endless alleyways. Stairs lead you up to a bare boarded room with a mix of exposed brick and two-tone painted walls. The servery runs along one side, and has a rough timber fronted counter, metal cage canopy and a bar back dominated by a glass screened taproom, with all the kegs visible. The taps are mounted on the wall to one side, with a beer board detailing the full draught range next to this. It's a simple room with high bench seating and bar stools along the longest wall and past the end of the bar, whilst a button backed sofa fills the front corner next to the entrance. Directly opposite the bar is a huge shelving unit displaying many bottled beers, presumably all available to purchase. The walls have been decorated with lots of film related posters, sketches and the like, although I was unclear what the cinematic link to this premises was. The toilets are back downstairs, where you'll also find a small raised patio seating area out the front. Chilled trip-hop tunes played in the background and there were only two or three other punters in on an insanely cold January evening.
There was one cask ale - the appropriately named Salopian Firkin Freezing - but the bar clearly majors on craft keg, so I gave one of the eight options a try and immediately regretted ordering such a cold beer. The lone barman seemed pretty personable and helped some other customers decide which pubs they should try next.
I thought this was a fairly average craft beer bar with a decent enough interior, a token cask option and friendly service. It lacked something for me - perhaps the dearth of other customers didn't help - and I was more than happy to move on after a swift pint, but it's nice to have something a bit different to add on your Nantwich crawl and this was definitely a good contrast to the town's traditional and food-led pubs.

Ebenezer’s is an attic bar located down a cobbled path in an old 19th century Methodist chapel of the same name. This venue is certainly more atmospheric that their sister site in Crewe, but both have a genuine friendly welcome and interesting beer range. Eight craft keg fonts are found on a wooden board to the side of the bar and there is a lone handpump on the bar. Unfortunately this had gone off just before my visit. At the back of the bar are some glass patio doors that lead to the kegs and a sea of plastic piping. Opposite the bar is a large shelving unit that is full of craft keg cans available for take-away.
Being an attic bar the floor is wooden and there is plenty of exposed brick. Seating is found to the right and left of the bar, this isn’t the biggest place so I imagine it gets quite cosy at busier times than my recent Thursday evening visit. I liked it in here and would return.

One cask ale (Salopian Lost In Translation) and eight craft keg taps, with a couple of ciders also listed at the time of my visit. Bottles and cans are also on display for takeaway.
A pleasant first floor bar with nice strings of fairy light type things. Wooden floors with a mix of high and low seating. Walls are a mix of bare brick and painted plaster. Look out for the giant Leffe bottle and glass above the bar.
Wi-Fi is advertised as being available. Toilets are downstairs.
A nice chilled out feeling place with a pleasant relaxing atmosphere despite being fairly quiet at the time of my visit. This is somewhere I would be very happy to return to.
