Strongers . left this review about The Cavern Room
I think this is actually two venues in one with Tamworth Sports Bar upstairs and the Cavern Room downstairs. Before investigating online I thought the Cavern Room was just a function room with a bar at one end and a stage at the other. To be honest it is just a room when there’s no bands in session, and I imagine it’s available for hire. Upstairs in the TSB there’s an L-shaped serving counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside Keg Sharp’s Atlantic and Doom Bar. There are lines of pool tables up the left and some long tables separate the bar from four dartboards in the right rear corner. There was some decent background music playing off the jukebox from the 90s. The people of Tamworth love their pub sports what with this place and the massive Castle Sports in town, I’ve never seen a town with so many pool tables! The crowd in here were younger than Castle Sports, nice to see the kids having something to do rather than hanging around the streets. Good for pool if you like that sort of thing.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tamworth Sports Bar
The name tells you all you need to know about what is presumably a converted cinema, with the large first-floor space devoted primarily to pool (with nine tables) and darts (three boards). There are also a number of sports TV screens in the corner bar area, but I was still surprised how much business the place was doing on an otherwise quiet August Tuesday evening. No real ale, unfortunately, with the keg Greene King IPA and Sharp's Atlantic (£1.80, half) noted amongst the routine offerings from the shiny taps.
