Upon entering this shop conversion you find a basic square room, a mix of seating but also of a basic wooden nature, the walls are papered with a heavy duty bare brick pattern , though this does look quite effective. The bar is to the rear of the room with four hand pumps, the selection was well balanced with a Porter, Best Bitter, Pale and a Brown Ale. Unfortunately things went a little down hill at this point, I chose Little Critters Pumpkin Pie Porter and Big Steve had whatever the pale beer was, the guy serving seemed to have trouble with the till and card machine this took an age, Steve had to take his beer back which was approaching vinegar, it was replaced with no quibble for the Brown Ale which Steve said was OK, the Pale pumpclip remained unturned, meanwhile my beer whilst drinkable was decidedly poor quality and was verging on flat by the time I got through it.
I liked the initial feel of the place but the beer let it down badly.
