Built to be the only “local” in this massive new build housing estate pretending to be a village. Strolling through the rather boring local streets I thought this place was crying out for a decent pub, instead I found this bog standard Hungry Horse. It did seem more of a drinkers pub that many in this chain and pleasantly done out, but my Greene King pet hate - four ales clipped but two of them were unavailable. My Rocking Rudolph was at least still quite drinkable on my January visit!

Typical Hungry Horse place that was quite busy on my Wednesday lunchtime visit. There was 5 hand pumps on the bar with just 4 operating.
