Essentially a large, rather dated hotel bar that looks and feels a bit like a pub in some respects. There is a garden with sea views, from which you can enter the bar via a dining area in a protruding conservatory. There is small slightly stuffy ‘public’ type bar with a dart board, then a separate large, more open bar and lounge area which also has good views out to sea. It feels a bit tired and low budget compared to other nearby hotels, and the prices are what you might expect. No real ale or cider, and the foreign barman didn’t seem to understand the concept of either. Probably fine if you’re staying here but not a destination of choice I’m afraid.
