The Cyclist is located in Brighton Railway Station so is very a preferable alternative to the waiting room when trying to kill time between cancelled and late Southern Fail trains. The interior consists of an L shaped bar to the left and seating to the right. During my visit on a recent Friday night the manager beamed with pride as he informed me that a toilet had recently been installed. The bar supports a range of premium keg products including Brighton Bier’s South Coast IPA. The two hand pumps were drawing Harvey’s Best and Long Man brewery’s Golden Tipple. Up on the wall to the left of the entrance is a large blackboard that lists an extensive craft bottled beer menu.
By default the crowd in here is very transient which detracts from the atmosphere, but I have been in far worse station bars.

An alliterative café-type bar just off the concourse at Brighton station, there are numerous keg fonts, cocktails, coffee and cake - and cask ale available from two hand pumps. The two such beers available at the time of our visit were from local breweries: Long Man and Brighton Bier, both were pale and hoppy. With trains so frequent, there's little excuse for calling in here if you're catching one, and it's hardly one to include on a crawl of town centre real ale pubs either.

Located inside Brighton train station. A quirky interior with suitcases making up the bar and a mixture of reclaimed/retro fixtures and fittings. Opens early for food with alcohol sales from 11:00 am. 2 real ales, keg and "craft keg" served. No toilets station loos cost 20p.
