Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Denley's Essence of India
Although a long-established Indian restaurant, this place was recently reported by the local Camra branch as offering real ales on tap. Unfortunately, this must have been a short-lived experiment since there are now no handpumps. However, it does still offer bottled Otter Bright (£3.50), although this is not kept in the fridge so is too warm rather than suffering the usual problem of being too cold. Apart from that, you can get Cobra, Carlsberg, Guinness, Becks Vier and Thatchers Gold on tap in the compact bar. There are a few bar stools along the counter, and a couple of small seating areas with modern furniture and decor either side of the front door.
