Marston's food pub on the edge of town. Hobgoblin, Pedigree and Jennings Vantage 82. I went for the Jennings as it was a new one on me - it was very good. We ate here and the food was also good. Not a bad place really.

Modern Marstons Inn in typical house style aimed squarely at food trade on hill at edge of town. Interior pleasant without being exceptional; at least it manages to avoid the recycled brick and distressed timber so often found in these. Beers from the Marstons stable - Pedigree and a Hobgoblin at time of visit and condition seemed fair. Food of usual roast and grill type was adequate but left room for improvement. Outside is a secure garden area and accommodation is in separate block adjacent. OK if you want a family dining pub with good parking.
