A fairly charmless upmarket gastropub, with half the bar taken over for dining, meaning that most of the drinking-only punters end up standing outside. Just two ales on over three pumps - Wadworth 6X and a sub-optimal Twickenham Naked Ladies. Braying upper-middle class twits and their nouveau riche wannabe counterparts make up 50% of the punters. As Princess Ann’s Spitting Image puppet would say – naff.

It definitely says on the signs Public House but it is anything but. More a restaurant than a pub but they do have 3 real ales on.2 Greene king beers and 1 from the Upham brewery. Small bar area and outside seating helped on a warm night but the beer was suffering from sun stroke.
