Grungy music orientated venue. Long bar with old wooden floorboards. Some games machines inside front door. Bar on front left - sawn tree trunk facing to the bar. Pretty dark as expect. Tables on either side beyond bar. Ledge with some high stools on front right. Large projector screen on left wall beyond bar showing the footy. Lots of graffiti type art on walls beyond bar. Bizarrely place looked like it had been decorated for Halloween, i wonder what they do to actually augment what is obviously normal set-up up and decoration for Halloween itself?

There were a lot of keg beer choices - Carling, Sharp’s cider, Vedett Extra Pale, Blue Moon, Guinness, Staropramen, Werewolf Horrorshow, Paulaner Auerbrau Rosenheim Pils, Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica and Neck Oil. Rare one for me in that I had the Paulaner, and it was indeed very quaffable.

This was my starting point for the evening on emerging from CJ station. Took me a while to see the beer taps after being plunged into the near darkness of the venue from the extremely bright early evening outside. Almost had to resort to photographing the taps and looking at image with maximum brightness to discern the ones I didn't immediately recognise by graphics / colour etc! Another venue with sole other punter watching the Euro action - given he wasn't obviously a metalhead, did seem like a weird place to head to watch the action rather than the big sports bar on the opposite side of the road and CJ station.

On the path outside Project Orange is a strip of AstroTurf which designates where smokers can stand and I had to gain access past a bouncer on Friday evening. Sofa seating is found by the front window and the bar is located on the left hand wall. Beyond is the main body of seating that is overlooked by a large projector screen that was showing a Glastonbury documentary. This was muted as some background music was playing. The exposed brick walls and the ceiling are adorned with camouflage netting intertwined with fairy lights and there isn’t much other lighting. The toilets are located downstairs where there is basement seating and table football.
Standard and premium draught products are available from the bar and I thought that the Guinness was well served, although the barmaid that served me could do with cheering up a little. Various bottled beers are also available.
Previous live music acts are written on the wall, but I didn’t see any upcoming events. However I got the feel that there are regular music events in here.

This isn’t a place that I would revisit but I would probably like it if I was in my early twenties.
