A very friendly locals pub, only Doom Bar available from one of four pumps,I reluctantly had a pint and found the condition to be good despite everyone else in the pub being Lager or Cider drinkers, a bit rough around the edges here but comrortable and despite the lacking of ale choice I enjoyed it here.

Sweary but ostensibly friendly local. The exterior, with its impressive embossed wall-mounted signage, is somewhat more appealing than the interior, which was low ceilinged, L-shaped and a bit gloomy. Quite busy compared to other nearby outlets. Two ales on during my visit, Doom Bar and Courage Best. My Doom Bar was a bit naff if not quite poor. Dart board in use. Small but tidy rear patio - topic of conversation here was the impending court appearance of a punter’s offspring “I know he didn’t do it because he’d never lie to me” – I wonder if the judge will take a similarly nuanced view? One visit was enough to satisfy my curiosity, anyhow.
