The Ship In Dock Inn entrance leads to a small L-shaped bar area with counter on the rear wall that supports three hand pumps. One was unused and another had just gone off which left Exeter Brewery’s Avocet as the lone cask ale option. A standard and premium keg range was also available. Steps up to the right lead to a mezzanine area with old singer sewing machines for tables. Up on the walls are a few framed etched brewery mirrors amongst other things. I didn’t spot a television, but there was some background playing to the ten or so people that had packed out the bar area. Accents gave away that they were locals. On the path out the front are some duck egg blue picnic tables. This is a basic pub that I would have no problem revisiting.
