Soup Dragon left this review about Millom Workies
This is a terrace building next door to the Bear on the Square. Both in fact were part of the former Millom Workingmen's Club - hence the unispired name. The building looks functional, in cream with a splash of green - the cornice is the only decorative feature. This is a large open plan room, in plain white, with a long serving bar. I can't really say i noticed any pictures and things, but there are a couple of pool tables and a dart board. There are TVs which were showing footy and there was no music. The service was friendly, as were the locals, who engaged in a bit of chat. Seemed a little aimed at the younger market. Beer; no real ale, all keg - mainly lagers, but a decent enough Tetley Dark MILD was on offer. Not really my kind of place, but it compliments its sister pub next door, which does the real ales.
