This was a pub at one time, but closed around 1880. It's now a tea room run by the National Trust adjacent to their Cotehele Mill.
The nearby visitor centre lists a number of projects which the NT would like to complete and asks visitors to prioritise them. One was re-opening The Edgcumbe as a proper pub - naturally I moved this to the top of the list!
