Al Bundy left this review about Cheeky Jacks
Now called Ava's Bar and still crap.
18/11/17:
This is now a fully fledged member of the awful Ranelagh St/Charlotte St area nightmare. A noisy karaoke hellhole with cheapish beer-a-likes. Its a dry-dream of pissed up Rita Webb, Peggy Mount and Arthur Mullard lookalikes plus offspring. Nightmare.
20/1/16
Exactly laid out as in Mr Boots's review though the throughway to next door is no more and there is one less keg pump. A DJ stage is on your left as you enter. The 3 unused handpumps are still on the bar.
21/10/15
Now open and called Cheeky Jacks.

Old Boots left this review about Inn Beer Emporium
Trendy modern bar with uncomfortable seating. Ten shiny keg founts plus 3 pulls tucked away round the corner of the small counter which is a slate brick affair with a brushed aluminium top, a similar drinking counter runs down the middle or the single room with high stools down each side. The rest of the seating is green leatherette benches at wee twee square tables in wood with brushed aluminium tops. I can't comment on the beer quality as they'd run out of the Liverpool Craft cask beers that's all they sell, the kegs are more interesting. The choice includes Brewdog as does the bottle choice actually that's where I've seen that type of furnishing before but in more brutalist and concrete form. Decor is all beer related; mainly ads and enamelled signs, the back wall has a big photo of beer kegs. The service was pretty good and the punters older and more friendly than expected. The bar links through into Caesars restaurant next door and into the hotel behind.
