The Hopstar Brewery Tap is housed in what looks like a former shop. It's an open plan rectangular room with a corner bar counter at he rear left. The floors are wooden and there are a few low tables and chairs plus a few bar stools.
The bar has five hand pumps which had a cider and Hopstar Off T' Mill, Lush, Dark Knight & (I think) a new one called Armada Sur. I went for the Dark Knight and Armada Sur (both £2.30) which were decent old school low ABV beers, which is what this brewery seems to concentrate on.
Unlike the South the prices here are only 1p dearer than the standard guest ale in the nearby JDW. Another bonus point is that there is no TV but they do advertise music on Saturday night. It's GBG 2017 listed and I liked it.

A small pub, the Hopstar Brewery Tap, with mysteriously eastern furniture. The quirky theme continues with material on the ceiling, curtains that should go across the dart board but don't and odd bits of wallpaper and arty photos. Four pumps of Hopstar beers and not too bad, inevitably my view of the pumps was impeded by a lager drinker and friend.

A brewery tap for Hop Star Brewery. A wide selection of their cask ales available. A bit of a mish-mash decor wise with hideous wicker-like chairs. However it is good for Camra types to muse over the state of the beer.
