As it’s name implies, this is indeed a bar in a hotel, and whilst in some cases these establishments have more the feel of a pub that just happens to be attached to a hotel, in this case, it really does feel like a hotel bar.
We didn’t stay long enough to note too much, but the colour scheme appeared blue and white, there were a couple of plasma screens around that were apparently going to be showing the world cup, and there are literally just one or two tables on the wide pavement at the front.
Unfortunately there were no ales or ciders on the bar, just Guinness, a lager and something else of no interest that I can’t even remember. There was no barman either, presumably you had to go to the hotel reception and find someone if you wanted a drink. We swiftly departed and went elsewhere.
