An old country inn now gastrofied and boasting some lovely original interiors in the cosy, drinkers-only front bar with its dim lighting, exposed stone and original beams. The remainder is add-on with the slant on food and is all light and airy. A hint of GK here with Hardy & Hansons and OSH, but there was a saviour in the locAle Loose Cannon Bombshell which was in great nick and good on the beer miles to boot. No destination venue, but this pub has preserved part of its originality which is to be applauded.
