Old Boots left this review about The Tavern

An horribly modernised interior in an oldish building, just the one long room with an L shaped counter in the centre left. Against the windowed front wall is banquette seating and wooden tables with chairs/stools. To one side is a pool table, tall tables and high chairs take up the space to the right of the counter. Plain decor, just a few framed snaps, screens and piped music of course, I didn’t spot a machine. On a lunchtime visit there was a bit of a mum and baby thing going on, otherwise typical town centre old blokes who perhaps didn’t fancy the ‘spoons round the corner. It was also uncomfortably hot, maybe for the pensioners and babies? Beers as expected except they were all on solos so probably don’t change much; Coors, John Smiths, Stella, Guinness, Carling both ordinary and fruity, Strongbow and others.

Alan Winfield left this review about Cellar V

Cellar V looks fully functional from the outside, signs in the windows are advertising for new people to run the pub.
More than one local said the place was closed.
There may be hope for this place yet.
