Alan Winfield left this review about Newton House
The Newton House was a strange looking pub it was part three storey and part two storey and there was no front door to it,the main entrance was at the side of the pub.
Once inside there were a few different rooms and the pub had an old fashioned feel to it,i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room.
This pub was a Marstons tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Marstons bitter and this was a fairly decent drink.
The pub changed its name to the Soap Box and it is now closed and looking in a sorry state.
