An odd little spoons tucked away down an alley and odd shaped inside. Basically a single long thin room with a side extension on the left. The usual long counter, it’s not a big spoons, with two sets of five pulls; usual horrors at the far end more interesting at the nearer, Hogs Back, Elgoods, Batemans, Black Hole and Little Valley as guests, unfortunately my beer was served in a bloody mug. On a couple of floor levels there’s little to say about a fairly average spoons. Toilets of course are upstairs.

Unusual Spoons (2011 opener) which you can access from an entrance up a tight alley. Quite a warren inside giving-off the impression of being a number of subsumed buildings which gives it character. Neatly decorated which stops the darkness further back from being gloomy, as mentioned below. Just two guest cask and one was off. Deciding I couldn’t stomach the Elgoods I did get offered an Abbot (NBSS 3) by way of apology without having to do the price differential, which was a good bit of customer service.

Still as described below. I quite liked this Spoons, although that might have been helped by it being quiet, but it felt like a nice place for a pint or several. The range of beers was not great but the Milestone Honey Porter was very fine.
