The Crown Inn, Sheffield

I had hopes for this one, as sometimes in these extended-housing-estates-not-quite-towns there's a surviving pub near the church at the heart of the original village. And this is it! At least, it looks like it, but once inside it's been opened out into one space just like everywhere else, and the bar extended through the wall to a dining room at the back just like everywhere else, and everyone's drinking lager because the real ale is crap just like everywhere else.

Why is a pub in the outskirts of Sheffield trying to sell Fullers London Pride anyway? There's little wonder no one's drinking it. They sold me a half and I soon regretted it, though it wasn't so bad that I was willing to make a fuss about it (NBSS 1.5). I just drank up, pulled a face and skedaddled out of there.
