Blue Scrumpy left this review about Coach & Horses

Located in the centre of the village of Longborough, this is a Donnington Brewery pub that can now be found in the Good Beer Guide again.

There is a single bar with stone walls, but quite a bit of drinking and dining space, especially off to the right-hand side. The atmosphere is quite cosy with a piano, jukebox, TV (switched off) and dartboard to the left-hand side. Background music was playing. Dogs are allowed.

On the bar, two of the three handpulls were clipped with BB & Cotswold Gold. The draft ciders were Weston's Vintage & Thatcher's Gold. There was also a large wine list behind the bar. A menu to the side of the bar offered 5 different starters and 5 main courses.

Toilet facilities are very limited here. It's rare that I have to queue for the toilet, but with only two gents toilets, that was the case here. There were also the odd whiffs of vomit coming from somewhere near our position at the bar. A baby was present, which may have been the source. I couldn't quite pinpoint where it was coming from, but it was slightly off-putting.

Otherwise, a fairly decent village local.

A small and very busy village local with several rooms knocked into one, stripped bare stone walls and floors of flag stones and quarry tiles. Many customers has spilled out onto the patio in the warm autumn sunshine but I was happy with the cool interior. Most tables were set for dining but I found plenty of room to enjoy my half of Donnington BB, though "enjoy" is probably not the right word as it was definitely not GBG quality (NBSS 2.5), which may be why this pub is not in that guide these days.

Called into this 2018 Good Beer Guide pub while on a coach trip round Gloucestershire Pubs, This is a Donnington pub therefore selection limited, but we did enjoy the SBA we chose here. Community local feel and friendly.
