A detached L-shaped bar and bistro/restaurant in a red/pinkish and cream render, with stone window surrounds next to the Isle of Arran Brewery. It has a nice beer garden area. It is the sister establishment to the Brodick Bar & Brasserie a few miles away.
The interior of the bar area (that is the lower story building on the photograph) is a straight room in yellow, with a white ceiling. It is on two levels with a stone flag floor by the bar and carpet further down, by the smnall fireplace. The tables are all foody based even in here. There are photos of the area on the walls, as well as animal pictures and mirrors. Modern and fresh for those that like that. The service was fine, and the clientele a strong mix; from families to mature. There was no TV that i saw and no music when i visited. They do food, obviously and the youngest Soupette gave the thumbs-up to the macaroni cheese.
Beer; tap stuff with a decent Arran Blonde and Arran Ale on the real ale front.
Superior to it's sister place in my opinion for the fact that they do real ale. It is worth a stop off, especially if doing a brewery visit.
