The cinema is a fantastic building but the café bar is a very ordinary oblong box devoid of features, unless you count some polystyrene clouds suspended from the ceiling. There are three hand pumps on the bar, and a number of keg fonts with contents listed on a small blackboard. Two of the pumps were in action, with a prominently-positioned Camra discount notice propped against the third, for which a round of applause is awarded. (The display rather than the discount.)
Unfortunately the two beers were both pale and rather bland, and given the totally unpublike setting and atmosphere, I can't think of any reason why I might want to come here again.

Broadway is an independant cinema in the hockley area of Nottingham and inside this building there is the Broadway cafe bar which opens all day 12 to 11 and later at weekends.
Once inside the room is square with the bar to the right as you enter.
The room has a few bench seats but most of the seating is a small table with an uncomfortable chair either side of it these are set out in rows and it reminded me of a transport cafe but to make it look more trendy the tables alternate between white and light purple.
There were four handpumps on the bar but two had the clips turned round i had a drink of Nottingham Sooty Stout which was a very nice drink the other beer was Nottingham Broadway Reel Ale which was an house beer.
This was very busy on a midweek afternoon so people must like drinking here though most were drinking coffee at the time.
Not really my sort of place to go for a drink but the beer was well kept and very nice.
