Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Builders Arms
Plain-looking side-street pub, but with a surprisingly elaborate look inside the front bar and busy rear dining room. The former has a pool table with a 'Not in use' sign on it, although this may depend on the time of visit. Thankfully Wainwright Gold (£3.90) was being served from a pair of handpump, although this may have been the 'fresh' rather than cask-conditioned version?

Decent pub and well used by the look of it. Still has the pool table. Plenty of people eating during my early evening visit. A nice pint of Banks's Sunbeam.

This is a large tidy looking Victorian detached corner pub with outside area. The pub is in a white render with yellow string courses and around the windows. It has a touch of the 17th century to its looks, with a pair of Dutch gables mounted by finials. The windows are modern. The interior has a couple of rooms, the bar at the front and a quieter back room. Both are in a gold patterned wallpaper, with wood panel. There are red leather perimeter seats, and stools. There is a pool table and a few TVs, which were showing the cricket - a large pull down screen wasn't being used. There was a brick fireplace with a gas fire and a large 'Builder's Arms' mirror above, but no other pictures really. The music, sadly, was charty based and a bit loud. The service was friendly and there was a reasonable mix of locals in. Beer; usual tap stuff with a decent Banks's MILD and Sunbeam on handpull. A nice experience, slightly dampened by the music, but i would happily pop back here for one.
