Steve of N21 left this review about Prince Regent
This pub changed its name from the Prince Regent to this current incarnation of The Inn on the Green.
This primarily seems to be because it was closed down in 2009 and remained closed for some 18 months, following a police raid where a suspected quantity of drugs was found in a holdall stored in adjoining garages and the then present landlord was subsequently jailed for money laundering and involvement in an international drugs ring, and the new owners though a change of name and a lick of paint could differentiate from the tarnished past reputation.
None of this was I aware of when I decided to utilise it after visiting Tiverton for the first time for several years, not that it would have made any difference. And actually it’s good that this place has been reopened and spruced up, because this end of town must have looked really shit when it was closed.
Fairly standard two room pub with one set up as a dining area. Two ale pumps on the bar with one reversed and the second one with a hand made cardboard Brains IPA clip, and this was fairly average.
Was the only hostelry I tried during my short visit and I hope this is not as good as it gets for the patrons of Tiverton.
