Having walked in and back out of the Clubhouse just up the road, due to the lack of any cask ales, we eventually decided to stop for a drink at the Bishop Blaise which is also keg only. Unlike the Clubhouse, the handpumps have been removed here.
With a selection of Guinness, Estrella Dam, Old Mout, Carling, Madri, Camden Hells, Aspalls, Moretti & Beavertown Neck Oil, I switched to a bottle of cider, whilst a couple of our party decided to head back to the Clubhouse instead.
The Bishop Blaise has a single bright room, with an outdoor courtyard to the rear left. The young barmaid was friendly.
I can say I've been now. But I would walk on by next time.

A neat townhouse frontage leads into a ripped out one roomer. Lots of bare brick walls and high tables with stools. Reasonably busy on my Saturday, early evening visit. Three handpumps on the bar pulling Hobgoblin & Abbot Ale with an Adnams pump clip turned around. The Hobgoblin was in decent nick and at £1.30 for a half, good value as well. It's OK for one and a quite liked the atmosphere in here. A decent pub.

A modern respectable large one room pub, with a good relaxed atmosphere. No music on my visit and a good place to read the paper. Three ales Doombar, Bishop's Finger and Old Speckled Hen.
