The pub is part of a 1670-1680 building and sits to the right of the former Royal Hotel. It is a pity the frontage of the pub is so insignificant in this historic building. Still the big T for Tennents ensures it stands out as a pub. The place is one roomed with a small horseshoe bar, with lots of wooden panelling.
