Formerly a traditional “working man’s bar” which has completely abandoned its heritage and attempted to re-invent itself as a modern young people’s disco pub. It’s now bright and noisy, with fake stone interior walls decorated with mirrors and alcohol advertising posters. In addition to the customary draught lagers and ciders, there is an impressive “Wines, Cocktails and Shooters” menu, which includes “Screaming Orgasm,” “Slippery Nipple” and “Quick F**k.” I’m sure you’ll get the picture. And I was here in the late afternoon, in case you’re wondering.
